Aloha! Not only is Blond back, but I am too. I went on a family vacation right after Otakon (which was FANTASTIC by the way), but sadly none of the wireless hotspots were Mac-friendly.
I can't stress enough how awesome Otakon turned out to be. Shawn Handyside, in his infinite awesomeness managed to snag me a table the NIGHT before the con, so I really owe a lot to that dude. On top of that, I spent some quality time with the usual gang of cartoonists.
I would like to point out one particular webcomic though. It's about a group of guys who are all named after their hair color and a cute little rodent as a mascot. NO, not my webcomic! ReGrBl! To be honest, I found out about them through the Otakon webcomic challenge, so I just got into it. But they have some great stuff on their site, so it's no surprise that they ended up winning that competition. Also, the team's a blast to hang out with in person. I do have to express an eerie feeling though- Two comics with characters named after their hair color, both drawn in the Virginia/DC area, and one of their cartoonists (Red) actually graduated from VCU the year before I did... freaky. Seriously though, I'm loving their comic. And this was before they drew a freaking cool drawing of Blue and Blond (which I will scan when I find a scanner large enough).
